PRIVACY NOTICE
Who we are. Revive Labs is a business of Varun Niilesh, Chennai. In this notice, 'we' means Revive Labs. You can reach us at adminrevivelabs@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +91 7358757192.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Details of your device and its problem, and photos of the device and parts.
- Your WhatsApp messages with us about your job.
- Files from your device only where a job needs it (for example a backup or a data recovery). We look only at what we need to do the job.
Why we collect it. To book and carry out your job, contact you about it, take your payment, keep our records as the law requires, and deal with any complaint. We use your details for nothing else.
Who sees it. The Revive Labs team, who work under the proprietor. We do not sell your details or use them for advertising. We use a few services to run the business, and they handle your details for us: WhatsApp, Gmail and couriers when your device travels by courier, and Google Drive / Onedrive / iCloud when we return your files. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which may record basic visit information such as your IP address.
Your device and your files. If we back up your data, we keep the backup only for the job and delete our working copies when the job is done. We never copy or share your files for any other purpose.
How long we keep your details. Job records and WhatsApp messages: Where the law requires us to keep tax and accounting records. After that we delete or anonymise them.
Your choices. You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email us and we will reply at the earliest. If you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children. Our services are for adults. If a device belongs to someone under 18, a parent or guardian must book, agree and pay.
Changes. If we change this notice, the new version will be posted on this page with its date. Last updated: 19 October, 2026.
TERMS
1. Who you are dealing with. Revive Labs is a business of Varun Niilesh, Chennai. When you book, you are making an agreement with the proprietor, and a team of students may carry out the work under the proprietor's responsibility.
2. What we do. We repair and upgrade laptops and PCs, set up Windows and Linux, clean and tune machines, back up and attempt to recover data, build home file servers, and help with Macs.
3. Booking and agreeing. You book through the website or WhatsApp. We send you a quote and our repair terms on WhatsApp. We start work only after you reply with the exact wording we ask for, which names your job number (and, for parts, the exact part number). A thumbs-up or 'ok' does not count. If the owner of the device is under 18, a parent or guardian must reply.
4. Prices and payment. Prices on this website are starting prices ('from'). The final price is the quote you approve. You pay by UPI or bank transfer when you collect your device.
5. Parts. You buy any new hardware yourself and send it to us with the seller's bill. We do not buy hardware for you. We tell you the exact part to buy, with its model and part number, and you confirm that part number in your reply. When a part arrives we test it. If it is dead or the wrong model, we tell you straight away so you can claim from the seller, and we will not fit it. Any guarantee on a part is between you and the seller.
6. Your data. Please back up your data before you hand over your device. Repairs can sometimes cause data loss, and a repair may need us to reset or erase a device. We back up your data before we start work, but a backup of a failing drive may not be complete.
7. Old and damaged devices. Liquid damage, earlier repairs, ageing parts and hidden faults can cause a device to fail further during repair, even when we take care. We will tell you when we see these risks. We are not responsible for failures that come from a fault that was already there.
8. Data recovery. We charge an attempt fee of ₹500.00 even if recovery fails. If recovery succeeds, you pay the quoted price. We count recovery as successful when the files you listed open correctly. We cannot guarantee that any data can be recovered.
9. Courier. We accept courier jobs within Chennai only. Please pack the device well and put your job number on the parcel. We photograph the parcel and device when they arrive. The courier may be arranged by the customer or by us.
10. Software. We do not install pirated software. If you want Windows or other paid software, you must supply a genuine licence or buy one.
11. Warranty. We do not offer a separate warranty on our repairs or on parts. This does not affect any rights you have under law.
12. Our responsibility. We do our work with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
13. Collecting your device. We will contact you when your device is ready. If we cannot reach you for 60 days after that, we will send you written notice before taking any further step with the device.
14. Complaints. If something is wrong, write to adminrevivelabs@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp. We will reply as soon as possible and try to put it right.
15. Law. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
16. Changes. We may update these terms. The terms that applied when you approved your quote apply to your job. Last updated: 19 October, 2026.
