An entry-level Mi Notebook. The fan had come loose from the motherboard, so we reconnected it and sealed the vent gaps so air passes through the cooling fins. Then Nobara Linux, a better fit for 8 GB of RAM and gaming, plus drivers and game installs.
Our first outside client. The owner was paying ₹3,000 for a USB Wi-Fi dongle and getting about 1 Mbps. We fitted an Intel Wi-Fi card in the M.2 slot, upgrading Wi-Fi speeds to over 100 Mbps, moved the system to a 300 GB SATA SSD, installed Nobara, encrypted the drive, and delivered the old data through the cloud as the client wished.
Deep clean, Linux, and an M.2 SSD for faster boot-ups, converted into a home NAS, using Ubuntu Server as the OS.
Faced issues on windows and needed its storage to be cleaned, Nobara Linux made it run faster with full compatibility and lower resource usage, now used as a permanent Bedrock Server and study notebook
Skills: Windows 10 and 11, Ubuntu and Fedora-based Linux, macOS, Raspberry Pi, command line, data backup, recovery and drive encryption.
